How can I create a new activity?

To create a new activity, go to the Activities module and select “Create new.” Complete the required details and save the activity.

Can the progress of an activity be measured?

Yes. You can measure activity progress using the unit of measure you want.

What is a person-day?

It is the amount paid to a worker per day. Aragro calculates it by the hour, but this depends on how many hours the activity being performed takes. The default is 8 hours, but this can be edited.

When I create an activity, do I have to create it for all farms?

No. When creating an activity, you can set it up to be used on multiple farms or restrict it to a particular farm.

You can set an activity to be available for all crops or only for a particular crop.

Some of my crops have custom units of measure, which is how I measure activity progress—for example, mecate, hilo, and others. Is there a way to create units of measure?

Yes. In the Administration module, which you can open from the nine-dot menu to the left of your username, go to Units of measure. There you can create any unit of measure to use when configuring an activity.

In some farm activities, I measure progress by group/crew or by individual. Can I do this in Aragro?

Yes. You can measure progress by group or by individual.

By individual: This option records progress for each employee individually. The sum of each employee’s progress for a field, machine, infrastructure item, and so on, is the progress for that field, machine, infrastructure item, and so on.

By group: This option records progress for a field, machine, infrastructure item, and so on, without measuring each employee’s progress. The progress of the whole group or crew is treated as one unit, and the system calculates the average per individual.

What is the difference between physical area and effective area?

Physical area is the physical space, while effective area is the amount of that physical space that is productive.

Can an activity be measured by application number?

Yes. You can edit this in an activity’s advanced settings, under Work Order.

Can employee hours be tracked in an activity?

Yes. You can set this in an activity’s advanced settings, under Work Order.

Can activity pay be differentiated based on the activity’s progress?

You can create payment rules for activities so that compensation is specific to an activity. Set this up in an activity’s advanced settings, under Payment rules. The payment rule replaces an employee’s salary for this activity only.

What is piece-rate pay?

It is payment for the amount of work an employee has completed. You can configure a piece-rate pay rule for each job position, farm, and crop. Piece-rate pay must use the same unit as the activity’s progress unit.

What is an activity progress unit of measure?

It is the unit of measure used to evaluate the activity’s progress. You cannot change it while there are work orders that have not been canceled and use this activity’s progress unit of measure.

What is a metric?

Metrics are configurable components of a classification that help measure the progress of an activity.
